Shannon Murphy directs ‘Last Lonely Menopause’ to show unspoken truths around menopause.↓
We’re proud to present ‘#LastLonelyMenopause’, a production from Lief directed by Shannon Murphy for TENA. This poignant campaign started with a beautiful brief from AMV BBDO, which we felt immediately connected to: “I was moved by what the aim of the work was, to change the culture around how we frame menopause. [Lief Founder/EP] Margo Mars and I like collaborating with different voices and approaches to create work that really speaks to the large consumer group that includes us – women”.
The winner of Channel 4’s Diversity in Advertising Award, Shannon brought her tasteful eye and diverse background to the project. Described as a “beautiful coming-of-age story” by MUSEBYCLIO, and a “groundbreaking tale of menopausal moments” by SHOTS, the resulting campaign takes a raw, real, and unapologetic approach punctuated by some observational humour to help remove anxiety surrounding the ‘taboo’ topic which affects half of the world’s population.
