“Leonora is known for creating immersive, visually rich worlds full of character and portraying authentic relationships onscreen.”
One of the most exciting emerging talents for British filmmaking today, Leonara already has an impressive mix of commercial, short, episodical and long-form films complete and in production.
Lonsdale’s TV directing debut was a 2-part adaptation of Agatha Christie’s ‘The Pale Horse’, set in London ’61, produced for BBC One and Amazon Prime. She has just completed directing the first four episodes of ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ with Lionsgate+ which is set to premiere late 2022.
Leonora lives in London and received her M.F.A. from Tisch, NYU‘s prestigious graduate film program, which she attended on the W.T.C. Johnson scholarship. Her short film, ‘Beast’, funded by the BFI & starring Olivier-award-winning Billie Piper was BAFTA long-listed and played at over 30 international festivals.
